Percentage High Point System

This year’s scoring will use a percentage based high point system.  Though it brutally penalizes against low participation, it should be easier to figure out.  Basically your score will reflect how many boats you beat, as a percent of the number you start with (determined by check-in sheet, no redress).

Score=#of boats behind you/# of boats starting X 100

For example, if 10 boats race, the winner gets 90 points. Here is a table  of the scores for up to 10 boats.

So in that 10 boat race, fourth place is worth 60 points as highlighted above.

Series winners will be as before, the sum of the highest scores, with one throwout.  A change for this year is in the Annual class championship.  Here the winner will have the highest total of final series points(after the throwout) for all five series.
